Soft and cosy scarf

This wool has awesome texture, it's a pkeasple to crochet with this yarn. However one has to choose the correct hook to go with, else it can be nightmare with thread splitting hayway. And the variegated colour gives it an extra edge.

Pop spread

Although not very proud of the colour selection, the final outcome does looks pretty. This is famous pop corn stitch granny  squares. It's really fun to make the squares and the flower motif. The spread turned out to be heavy.

Fillet pattern

Have started fillet crochet this week. Not sure why actually chose this design. But now that it's started I know how it will end. I'll be framing it.

It is very easy, than it looks, the exciting part the like a photocopy  the design takes shape with every row .

Love for Doily

Yes its eternal love for Doily that keeps pushing to look out for Doily patterns and hook them up.

Picot doily

Seasons matter in crochet, its Doily season I mean:) Off late I didn't do much of doily. But now the only thing that grabs my attention is doily pattern. It is actually a very convenient gifting idea. It is most popular and readily usable. With other items there is lots of thinking that goes it , if it suits them, with they like it and so on.

This one is with thinnest thread  that I could find. The outcome is so lacy and  neat. Plus the pattern is full of picots , that gives it additional lacy texture. This small doily will sit elegantly on any side table and beautify it.

I spent most of my coffee time with this doily's WIP.  Should it go to coffee table?

Bolero single piece

It took several trial and error sessions before I could actually get the size correct. I was using different yarn size and the pattern has it with wool. So doing the math, not exactly doubling the count actually, going with measurement I needed had to try different combinations on numbers. Glad finally it turned out just the right size.

This run down pattern is fun and easy to make, unlike the others I tried where I need to keep adding the pieces together to form the complete bolero.

The yarn is so super cool to use, it has a feel good texture too.

Another simple effort - cuteness overloaded

Colourful Doily

This is again realizing I need to use my thread and re - acquiring the taste for traditional crochet style- doilies
Using bright colour for doily is again a big no-no with traditional monocolored doiles, so this has an extra edge to its look

This pattern is unlike the traditional stitches , it has complex ups and downs.

Finally the finished product

Motifs to fabric

Motifs gives so much flexibility to create or explore with options, and they are so less error prone that opens door to variety of creations.
I've tried many articles with it -tablecloth, purse, bag, lunch bag, etc
Here is my latest. started this with a thought to make skirt for my daughter. But will probably make tablecloth.

Shop till you drop

How aptly said...so here is my new items before I could complete the previous and previous and previous lots...

Corner to corner stitch

Corner to Corner aka C2C stitch gives flexibility of cross-stitch. I liked the concept of graph diagrams converting to crochet.
