Crochet maintenance

Crochet accessories are not only elegant they also lasts longer. Its easy to maintain, washable and are durable. The accessories like clips, scrunchies, applique if comes off, can be sewn back and it retains the same look as new.

Clips - crochet applique is pasted on the clip and once the gum dries and crochet is fixed on clip, fix a neatly cut felt cloth at the back to hold the clip strong.

On washing/soaking in water  the felt cloth comes off, sometimes even the crochet applique comes off. Hence the wash should be delicate to just cleanse the dirt on applique and do not let the water wet the gum and felt cloth.

Scrunchies- Many a times the scrunchies spoils after few usage, either gets loosened or breaks. The attached crochet applique can be taken out and sewn back on new scrunchies.

Applique- Crochet applique can be used on dresses. If dress gets old or torn, the crochet applique can be taken out an sewn on or used as applique for slippers, bags etc.

The spirit can never die, for crochet never! It was with excitement we've started and so is the excitement, if things work or don't , we'll find a way and get it done! So here are some of the ready products for sale!

Preparation

It was over tête-à-tête we discussed the idea, never thought we'll seriously work towards it. So the preparation has started. Not sure weather we'll get selected, not sure how we'll do it or what we'll do. Its the passion that is driving us, its the thought of fun that is driving us! 

And so goes the preparation for the D day.

Designs,patterns , products...every thing was thought about differently. All directed towards how to attract crowd...how to increase the 'sellability'

We have a months time, to plan, prepare, and be ready for the show!

What is going to come we don't know, what we know is it surely is going to be fun.

Each day is full of excitement, ideas...and items getting to be beautified to products!

Crochet hairbands

Crochet Hairbands comes very handy for long journey or during summers, it holds up all the hairs and strands and keep them away from falling over face.They look very pretty and are comfortable too.

Crochet set

This self designed pattern is for Zari langa for a girl of 3 year. The Langa itself was so beautiful, I was skeptical if I would be able to do something that would enhance its beauty. This attempt turned out to be successful. This flower blends so well on the dress and gives the Langa a grand look!

This one is my favorite...I liked the color combi  , it looks so pretty.

Crochet Scrunchies

Most of my patterns and products target young/baby girls! It is fun to think of products that might suit them,of course to decorate them :) I tried  these crochet scrunchies, they look cute than the plain ones! This one was a request from a friend for her daughter, when she saw the pink crochet flower I'd made. While making this I had no idea it would turn up so good and give a new look to the plain scrunchies. 

As it turns out so pretty, why limit it to kids:) I have em in some sober colors as well for ladies out there!

Crochet bracelet

This is my first attempt at Bracelet

It is easy to wear and the light weight gives the comfort. This washable bracelet can be easily maintained, all it requires is a light starch !

Its a perfect piece for a outdoor party. And yes it does add a zing to casuals!

I had no idea on how I'll make a bracelet, and this one is on the fly design that cooked up as I was looking at the finished pattern. While making  interlock pattern for earrings, I arranged the rings together and got this idea which turned out to be a pretty bracelet. I had bought the stone to use as pendent, but it suits here and doesn't look for a bit out of place. 

The famous Spring flower

This is one of my famous design and has picked up popularity almost instantly. I started this design with brooch in my mind, then I thought why limit it only to brooch what if I give option to use it on hairband, on clips and  here is the outcome! The adorable Spring flower...

Crochet Brooch

I tried my first brooch of three roses with leaves. I was looking for a brooch pin , never found one. Was about to attach a safety pin then I got the real crocodile brooch pins:) so got bunch of them and this one is my fourth attempt on brooch. This is one of me favorite flower the ruffle at the center gives it a beautiful look

A closer look at the flower, this is a big flower looks good on brooch, doilies, hair band.

Crochet brooch is a total revamp of the tradition brooch. These make a plain dress look so elegant , especially the Jeans top! So here is new one and guess this is for Zari Langa:)
